My wife has been complaining that our Whirlpool Gas Range Model SF362LXTQ 0 takes way too long to boil a pot of water on the 2 large burners, compared to other gas ranges she has used. Because we are on an LP gas system, I wondered if the installers on our 1 year old Manufactured home had installed the correct orifices. I got the manual out and I found that they had indeed been changed, but that there were 2 sizes available for that stove. In order to find out which ones were installed, I had to remove one and found that it was the smaller of the 2 listed in the manual for the Front burners. My dilema started when I went to reinstall the orifice and it fell below the range steel cover.

Question #1. How do I get at the area below (The burner area) so I can get the orifice out? I have looked the cover over pretty good and have tugged and pulled in most directions to no avail.

Question #2. My manual lists 2 orifices for the stove
L99 is 11,000 BTU and L109 is for a 12,000 BTU orifice. Am I going to have any problems if I install the larger orifice?

Question #3. Where do I purchase the L103 orifices?

I don't suspect low regulator problems as other gas appliances such as water heater appear to be working OK.

Can you get the orifice with a vacuum?

The heating value for natural gas is about 2x that of Propane. Propane Vs. Natural Gas - A Comparison

Make sure the stove is configured for propane, which usually means an orifice change and a regulator setpoint change.

Can't get it with a vacuum. I just installed a smaller orifice till I can get the L 1.03 orifices. Thanks
