Copper and plastic pipe for shower fittings

I need to install a new shower valve but have no experience sweating copper pipe. Is it possible to use one of the new plastic pipe materials/methods to connect? I would have to use plastic on both the inlet and outlet sides of the valve. Thanks in advance for any advice, thoughts, ideas.

Leaking shower pipes

I have a very unusual problem. On the left and right side of my shower cubical on the outisde walls where they are bricked in the bricks just in the mid centre of the wall (only) are getting a damp and bobbling patch. I have no idea what could cause these isolated 'damp' patches on the brickwork....

Hello, I have installed a new shower pan in the basement and the pan came with a plastic drain kit. The drain is leaking around the seal underneath very slightly. Is there some type of caulk or epoxy that I could apply to the bottom to stop the tiny leak? Though I followed the manufactures...
Removed pipes to recover earring, now another pipe is leaking!
