    Coil for Air Conditionr
We live in a home built in 2005 in Florida with Electric Heat/AC. We recently had a problem with our air conditioning unit and was told that we should replace the coil within the next few months. Is this necessary?

Your system has two coils, a evaporator coil and a condenser coil. If you live on the beach and are ocean front, it's quite possible you may require a replacement cond. Coil. This may very well be under warranty if your system is less than 5 yrs. Old, but I would contact the manufacturer if you are doubtful.

Depends. Did they say what the problem was and why you should replace coil? Only reason I can think of to replace coil is,, cracked drain pan, or leak on actuall coil. This is of course assuming you are talking about the evap coil. Now, if you are talking about the conderser coil, let us know what the problem is with it.
