    Bathtub surround tile layout
Hello pros, this is the layout for bathtub surround tiling. Will the twin borders look weird or should I use only one line of border tiles? The white tiles will be at the bottom, what do you think compared that to the blue ones? Also my tiles are big, they're 12.5x18, so if the bottom lines with tiles of 9", will that be any problem for the weight on top of it? Thanks very much for your opinions.

There is no problem with design. This is a personal thing. Weight will not be problem if using correct adhesive and giving tile twisting motion when setting.

    Good luck

It looks OK with the 2 borders but I would use all one color tile. I like the blue tile. Just make sure where your fixtures will hit when laying out the tiles and the borders. I had my listello hit center of my shower control knob by tile layout and positioning the valve where I wanted it.
