    Second probation violation
    Hello,
I am writing on behalf of myself. This is concerning my second probation violation. I received a DWI on mother's day 2008 and have served over a year on probation. The first violation was having wine in my house on my counter. I was given 6 days in jail or wham weekends 6 days 3 consecutive weekends, which I completed. This second violation was a surprised ETG test, that I had no idea what it was or what is tested for. I was not informed. This was my last meeting with my PO and I was 2 weeks away from the end of my probation. For those who don't know, the ETG is a test for alcohol in the urine that can be detected up to 80 hours in your system. This I had no clue of.
My question is, what can I expect on this second violation? Jailtime? More probation? More fines?
    Please help.

It can be any number of those. It depends on the state you live in of course and whatever the judge decides. If you have something to be guilty of I would probably just face the facts that one of these or more will happen. If not, you have been very lucky and I would suggest for the future if you are on probation and you have certain restrictions I would do what they say. Alcohol is Alcohol you can live without it and if you were that close into getting off probation you should have stopped drinking.

If your first probation violation ended up with you spending 6 days in jail more than likely your second violation just might provoke the judge to give you your original sentencing in jail and not any more probation time.

Whatever your original sentencing was, more than likely the judge will revert to that since you seem not to be able to refrain from drinking.
