    Wage Garnishments
    I only work part-time. I get about 20-23 hours per week. I make $8.50 per hour. Can my check be garnished?

    If you get a paycheck and there is a judgement filed against you, yes, they can garnish your paycheck (in most states)

    And if your state doesn't allow for wage garnishments, then they could attach your bank acount ,meaning they could take everything in your accounts!
