    My refrigerator stinks. I've cleaned the inside of both sides, by removing all drawers and shelves and cleaning them as well as the walls of the fridge with a vinegar based cleaner. I've also pulled it away from the wall and cleaned underneath and replaced the water filter. After the complete cleaning I put boxes of baking soda in the fridge and freezer. All to no avail.
    What else should I do?

    Mine does too! Just started this summer actually. Mine is a 2001 model. I've done all the things that you mentioned above. The smell is coming directly out of the filter hole. If you take the filter off and the refrigerator is running it blows that smell right in your face!! It doesn't smell in my fridge or under my fridge... it's coming directly from the filter. I was trying to get that drip pan out from under there but I don't think it was made to be removed... Mine smells sort of like rancid bacon grease. Is that the same smell your having?? Have you found a solution?
