Not a legal expert, so I have a question.

In most states the legal age of consent also depends on the age of the person you consent with.

Is it okay, in the OPs state, to have sex with a child of 17 when she herself is 29?

Some states have a four to six year older limit but some say any age is consentual. I think OP state is any age.

The newest sports figure case is Ben Roethlisberger (Pittsburgh Steeler). They found on the accusers emails that she had been making comments about ''looking forward to going out with him'' AFTER she had claimed he raped her. Little things like that go against you.

Never said she or is a he. And He/she has no proof that he was talking. Needs to get all his/her ducks lined up in a row before the parents of the 17 year old take action.

First, the GA statutory rape statute is very simple. If the younger party is 16 or older they can legally consent so no rape charges can be brought.

Second, sexual harassment is not as clear cut. You were lucky you only got demoted. He could claim that, has his supervisor, you sent signals that having sex with you was a requirement. He could then institute a sexual harassment suit. Doesn't matter where the sex actually occurred.

You do have, in your favor, that the company investigated and took action. You also don't say how long ago this happened. The longer he waits to sue, the worse its going to look for him.
