I had consentual sex with a 17 year old male outside of work and I was his supervisor.nothing ever happened at work.he was after me. Afterwards he was bragging about it at work.now I got demoted and put on a different shift.he recently quit and now says he feels he was picked on.now he is talking about getting me in trouble.does he have grounds to do so? When he invited me over?

And how old was he? Truth of the matter if you had sex the situation can be preceived anyway. The fact that you have already been demoted, if because of this situation could very well be used against you. It's possible this could be bad for you.

It seems you are safe as the age of consent in GA is 16.

He can't sue or prosecute since the age of consent in GA (my previous post) is 16. So, he is past the age of consent.

I was told I couldn't and they cldnt cause nothing happened at work it was one time outside of work where he invited me over.sex. Harr. Has to be on the job.hes made cause he's gotten in trouble on the job a few times not related to this and not by me.we are not even on the same shift and now he quit and is trying to start trouble.

Did not have to happen at work as you are his supervisor. I'm not a lawyer but am married to one (I asked a general question). Maybe you should find a local lawyer and ask questions. It is worth whatever they charge for an hours time.

Sorry I missed the age in your original post. However, what danielnoahsmommy has said is what I meant by "bad". I thought you were concerned with the job aspect of the situation. Having sexual contact with someone in while you are in their supervisory role can be bad for your career. Since he said that he was going to use this situation against you and has left the job... it's going to come down to your word against his and you are older and you were his boss... it can turn bad fast. Sorry.

They can't get you for being with a minor but him pushing this the way he is you can get in trouble the same way as in a rape case. Your work did what they had to.

The thing on your side is he probably has no proof and it can be your word against his about if he consented or not. Like the girls who cry rape after they consented to sex with the sports figures.

Him quiting had nothing to do with me... we haven't even had words about it before he quit... wants trouble, attention, money or sum.not quit sure.but I don't feel he can do anything cause we weren't at work and it was his own will to do so.im not is boss either.I had became night manager when it happened.and only got demoted cause of his age and being overhim to a certain point. Yeah if he presses charges you need to get a lawyer. Then you have to give your side of the story. If it sounds like he went along willingly or his story doesn't add up then he most likely can't prove his case.

That could sink him right there.

How long from the time of the incident until he made it a complaint? That can work against him too.

He didn't make a complaint yet I guess telling people he's going to get me in trouble and told his mom after he quit.but it happened like to months ago now he wants to tell his mom.she called the boss and complained.not knowing all the facts.and we don't know what he told her either.boss didn't get into detail with her yet... wants to see what happens first. And then let it all out.im the one who got in trouble at work not him. Even though he was telling our business to everyone.thats how it got back to the boss the he questioned us both.and he told the boss he didn't regret it,unlike myself.

Yeah I can understand why you got in trouble at work.
The longer he puts off taking any legal action against you the more in your favor it will be.
Like when a female rape victim doesn't go directly to the hospital and get a rape kit test done and she puts it off for months her story doesn't sound reliable over time.

Time is on your side.
Plus him telling people he didn't regret it, he bragged etc...
