Hello I have no spark. I tested every thing and I mean everything! It came down to this... I hooked up my black wire of my multi meter to the distributor housing as a ground. I checked all four wires for voltage all had around 12v except the middle blk\ yellow wire. When I touched my (+) probe against the wire and prong on the ignitor I seen a spark and saw smoke. I took it off right away. I noticed in reading every post on here about the whole troubleshooting guide it says to look for either voltage or conntinuity on the ignitor. I did so exactly as perscribed. It says I was suppose to detect voltage but I got some sort of short can some one tell me why? I tested mt coil it reads fine at .08 and as a secondary winding resistance it gave me 1.0 on ohms I noticed the post said 1200 to 1500 is what's needed is my reading on coil making that spark at the ignitor . Or causing my no spark at plugs? New computer, new cap.rotor, wires, plugs, mapsensor, and main relay. Please help

If the CEL comes on and goes off normally, when the ignition switch is turned to ON (Position II), just replace the Ignition Control Module and coil:

Bench testing these components is almost useless. On such an old Civic, they definitely should be replaced.

IMPORTANT NOTE: I am not a fan of bench testing ICMs, coils, and main relays. DIY bench testing does not simulate the heat that often causes these components to exhibit intermittent failure. It's safer to replace these critical ignition system components. Remember, the objective is "like new" performance and reliability, for as long as you own the car.
