    A party. Should I go?
    Hello everyone.

Recently, well not recently but its been about 5 months that I have broke up with my ex. It has been a long road of recovery.

There is this friend, who I met through my best friend. She is hosting a party and she invited me to it. A semi-formal. Anyway since she told me she needed a reply asap, I have told her I would attend, not knowing if ill follow through with it.

I thought it would be good to get out with people again. Ever since the break up I haven't been very sociable. So I thought to myself eh I might as well go. Plus ever since the break up, I have felt very weird and uncomfortable around people and I haven't been going out and having fun ever since.

So my question is, do you guys think I should go to this party? I only know 2 people that is going and there are around 20 guests. If so, any tips about how to be around people again? If not, what do I tell my friend as she already made reservations for me?

Meeting potentially interesting people or potential date? Are you crasy, never! If I were you I would put my pyjamas, get some double quarter pound with cheese from Mcdonals with the biggest french fry and soda and watch television. For desert you should go for 2 pound of ice cream (vanilla is my favorite).

Kidding aside, what do you have to lose to meet people? We are all shy but we have to overcome this. If you don't meet new people your life will become quite boring. Sorry for being so harsh but I hope this will make you go to this party.

Of course not! You can't go... without bringing me!

Just kidding, not that you can go, you must go!! Meeting new people not only helps you get out of boredom, but also gives you chance to meet potential dates! :)

    Have fun!

    Go, go go!

Just go without any expectations and talk to people, have a drink, have a laugh... you won't regret it .

Don't go for potential dates, go and have a good time.

The best thing is to talk to people - smile, ask them about themselves, listen to what they have to say.

Be interested, attentive and make yourself look beautiful.

It's been a while that I have been around people besides family and I feel a little uncomfortable around people since the break up. I think I'll end up drunk and make a fool of myself. LOL but that doesn't stop me.

It is monumentally important after a break up that you get out there and say YES to all social invitations. Have fun man!

Definitely!! Get a pretty dress and make new friends! What is there to lose? :)

    Best of luck!

Oh, how to be around people... just be yourself. Go to the party knowing that you're going to have a good time and meet new people... and with a positive attitude. Smile. That is the best way to cover up the nervousness! :) Be approachable. Laugh. Have a wonderful time. :)

Be friendly and talk with some new people. The best way to meet others, with out putting too much pressure on yourself, is to join in on the party games.

Hey guys, its me again. There's only 2 more days until the party and a lot of people are going. I only know like 3 people and only close to my best friend. I feel very nervous about going. Im not sure if I'm ready to be around people just yet although it has been about 6 months that I isolated myself from the world since the breakup. What do you guys think?

If you don't go you'll hear about how great it was and what you missed out on.

GO , you don't want to regret missing out later. Nothing ventured nothing gained.
