Why must I keep them chasing me?
A few friends and myself have experienced this problem and have been wondering about this.
It seems like when I get a girl to like me, and we call each other like every day or text each other every day, its pretty good for the first few months. But after awhile I keep up doing that and the girl kind of slack off and stops putting in as much effort. For instance I always have to call first or text first or invite her over or invite myself over there. It seems like she loses interest. But when I stop talking to her for a few days.. she will start texting me constantly and wanting to come over or me go over there and it seems like she wants me a lot more... but as soon as I try to get serious, and talk to her more often, bam she loses interest again. Why do they do that? I don't know if it is intentional or not.

It doesn't seem like she is interested in a relationship with you but is just looking to have a good time and date.

You may be coming off as being desperate. Maybe try cutting back to calling/txting every three days or no more than three times a week unless she is expecting a call from you besides. Let her know she is free to call any time.
And don't be hanging on the phone with nothing to say.
Be interesting and have something to say.
If she is really into the conversation then you can continue.
Also don't show that you are getting interested. Just let the relationship grow and flow
Remember if you are chasing they must be running.
You have to slow up and get them to run to you.

You have to balance your life with other things besides her, and that also means giving her quality time, and not just a lot of time. When your all wrapped up in a person, you smother them, and when you don't give them enough attention, they drift. You both have to meet half way, and work on a way for you both to have your own lives you enjoy, and share time together, as opposed to spend time together. See the difference?

Correct me if I'm wrong here talaniman, but after reading your signature remarks and your replys you almost come off as anti-relationship?
Anyway it is going fine kind of its just this game they play I'm trying to figure out. This is just a fling really and neither of us are obsessed or desperate or anything. I have been taking it really slow for a few months now and no progress has been made so that is why I am asking. Not sure if I need to make the first move or what
