    How to wire Honeywell RTH7500 thermostat
    I have a hunter 40035A thermostat that I'm replacing with a Honeywell RTH7500.
    Coming out of my wall I have
    Y
    W
    G
    RC (color is actually blue)
    RH
    The RC wire is not connected just capped off
    The Y, W, G, RH all go to the correct identified places on the Hunter thermostat. There is a jumper wire from the RH to RC terminal on the thermostat.

    The Honeywell thermostat has terminal spots for C, G,Y,W,RC, R wires. Is this how the wiring should go from the wall to the thermostat:
    Y=Y
    W=W
    G=G
    RC= still capped off ?
    RH=R on thermostat ?
    Jumper from R to RC on thermostat?

    Thanks
    Roger

    For a one transformer system you jumper RC to RH at the thermostat. Just leave the RC wire caped off.

    This shouldm be in your directions that came with the new thermostat.

    The Red wire RH as you say goes to the RH terminal on the thermostat. The wall wire should just be a red color.

    The thermostat has no RH terminal and the directions don't reference what to do. I'll just call honeywell, thanks for the advice.
