Crush on my close friend's ex.
Oh yeah, I know you guys have probably heard of this one before. But, I need some help.

Ok. I sort of, well, like this boy. His name is Rick. He's 15, about to be 16. And I'm 13, about to be 14. We've been friends for about 2 years. Nothing more, nothing less. And I've kind of had this HUGE crush on Rick's brother for about 5 months, he put me through total Hell. He's a very big man-skank, he lost his virginity when he was like 13, and he "talks" to about 20 girls at a time. And I finally got over him about 2 months ago, and now I like Rick. Rick is like the total opposite of David, his brother. Rick isn't flirty at all, he doesn't compliment people very often unless if he has a thing for them or something, and he just now lost his virginity a couple of weeks ago. But they're both like really hot, haha. But I wasn't going to mention that :)

Anyhoo. Rick has been flirting a lot with me lately, or at least I think he has been. Saying "hello beautiful (:" and telling me to put him on his top on myspace and commenting a bunch of my pictures telling me that I'm hot & gorgeous and a bunch of other stuff. I know that doesn't really sound like much, but if you knew Rick, you would realize why I'm taking all of this like such a big deal.

So I really like this guy, but, he's one of my very close friend's exs. Her name is Hannah, by the way. Lol.
Hannah & Rick went out for 4 days, but they both liked each other for like a month or so. Rick broke up with Hannah and she was very sad about it. She moped about it to me and stuff. And Rick didn't really care that they had broken up. He wasn't into her or anything like that anymore.
But a few weeks after they broke up, my friend Hannah was over because she was going to go on vacation with me the next day. We were playing this MASH game or something like that, and one of our friends got matched up with Rick lol, and she was like, "i'd have to kill that girl." but that was 4 weeks ago.
I'm pretty sure that she would be mad at me if I went out with Rick, and I don't want to ruin our friendship.. But I like this guy a lot, and he seems to be interested in me. So I don't know what to do. OH! One more thing, if I did end up going for it, I couldn't go out with him until my sophomore year (next year) because my mom has this rule for me. So I'd have to wait a whole year.
    What should I do?

Hannah & Rick went out for 4 days
You call 4 days "going out?" And Hannah would be mad at you if you went out with Rick, her boyfriend of all of 4 days? There's absolutely nothing here to justify such possessiveness. As it is, you said your mother's making you wait a year anyhow so you really don't have a problem.

So you think I should just wait a year and go out with him if I still like him? And if he still likes me?

Absolutely. Provided, of course, that your parents approve.

You wait as long as your parents want you to , just remember that they have YOUR best interests at heart.
