    What type of paint should be used on electric baseboard?

    Wet sand surface with 400 grit paper.

    Prime with kilz.

    Paint with any good quality interior paint.

    Personally I would use spray paint. With a light sanding and a can of spray paint the paint job can come out very smooth. You won't see brush strokes and that will make the covers look more like they did out of the factory.
