    Hair loss
    I have a dachsaund that is almost a year old. Along her back in a straight line she has dry skin and is losing patches of hair. I have her on purina puppy chow. She doesn't scratch abnormally, just like any other dog. No biting or eating away at her skin. So I don't think it is mange but any answers?

    Have you taken her to the vet?
    You should always consider the vet when your pet is sick.

    Can you get a picture of your dog to help us answer your question?

    It could be anything from mites to diet to ust dry skin.

    You will need to go to your vet to find out exactly what is wrong.

    If there are no mites then we can offer you some advice on how to help treat dry skin.
