I have a dachsaund that is almost a year old. Along her back in a straight line she has dry skin and is losing patches of hair. I have her on purina puppy chow. She doesn't scratch abnormally, just like any other dog. No biting or eating away at her skin. So I don't think it is mange but any answers?

Have you taken her to the vet?

You will need to go to your vet to find out exactly what is wrong.
