    Cable type for sub panel
I am installing a sub panel in a bunkhouse adjacent to a cabin and am planning to run an undrerground cable from the cabin to the bunkhouse using a 3 conductor cable with ground. Do I have the choice of either either UF-B or type SE cable?

SE cable will need to be rated for direct burial as is UF cable.

I am not aware of any SE cable that is rated DB.

Using Aluminum Cable for 100 Sub Panel [ 2 Answers ]

I'm going to be installing a 100A sub panel in my garage and need about 125 feet of cable. The price of aluminum is about 1/3 of copper so I'm just wondering what needs to be done differently when installing aluminum vs copper? Is it worth the hassel and/or risk? Thanks in adance! Pete
