    Changing a shower handle.
I have a very old (1970's) Delta single (hot/cold) handle. It supposed to pull out for on and push in for off and no longer does. How do I change this handle to a different brand or should I just put another Delta on? Thank you.

What is it you wish to replace? Just the handle or the entire valve? Here's Delta handles, (see image) which one do you have? Regards, tom

I have the plastic Delta handle and I thought that since I have to fix what ever is causing it to not pull on or push off I may as well change the whole thing to an updated handle. I'm just concerned as to what I'm going to find when I take the whole thing off. Thank you for your quick response.

Are you sure that it is a Delta. Deltas usually tilt up for on and turn to adjust hot and cold. Moen pulls on and pushes off, turns to adjust hot and cold. Can you post picture.

Shower handle [ 2 Answers ]

Hey, I'm looking for the brand of my broken "clear" single handle shower handle. Can't find a name on the handle & plumbing supply stores have tried in vain to help me. The stem is perfectly square. All I can find on the back of the assembly is something about "go bo".
