Going from black, to blonde, to blue.
I've dyed my hair all sorts of colors.. yea not the smartest idea
Well right now I have a mohawk and my hair is black. I want to dye my hair blonde, I don't care if it comes out orange or sumtin because a week after I dye it blonde I'm going to dye it blue so the orange won't show
I did it last year, but instead went from black, to blonde, to red, but the red came out pink

    Any tips or advice?

Tips, or advice. Yes, Shave your head BEFORE your hair falls out. Have you ever seen an elderly woman, say around 80 or 85 with bleached blond hair and it is really thin? Well that's what happens to a head of hair constantly abused.

You have to remove the black dye before you'll be able to get it blonde. ColorFix and Color Oops are the color removers I recommend. Color Zap will also work for you, but it'll damage your hair more. After you do that, you'll have to bleach it. If it doesn't break off, you'll be where you want to be.

In spite of what the previous respondent said, dyeing hair does not lead to thinning of the hair. Hair follicles aren't damaged unless you burn the scalp (you can get a chemical burn that will damage them). Thin hair in old people is caused strictly by genetics. Dyeing or bleaching hair will lead to hair breakage, but not to hair falling out. Some people say there isn't a difference, but there is. If hair falls out, it won't grow back. Hair that breaks will grow back.

First of all, Perito is right, you have to get out black before you can do anything, and putting blue on top of orange.. will not work. Blue will not cover orange. You have to think of a color pallate, if you mix orange and blue, what will you get? .. that's about the color you will see. Strip your hair. Its going to do a lot of damage, but if you dye your hair all the time, you are used to that. Strip it down to almost white, then add color.
