    Vop prison term
I was sentenced to a long term in patient program and I left becaise I was receiving no help in my recovery.I was at mt wits end and approached my po by phone which she did not return any phone calls mind you and also in person.I had 28 days left and I left and upon leaving I enterd a program that is geared for recovery and upon entering the program I left countless messsages on voice mail and also my wife talked to her and told here where I was .she sent a vop and I was taken into custody and then bailed out.mind you when I enterd the program I gave clean urine and they properly diagnost me and made imeadiate treatment plan for me.I go to court tomorrow for the vop and the violation states that I left program unauthoried and my whereabouts where unknown.how can a judge send me to prison if I'm doing the right thing and instaed of catching new charges and using drugs I drove into this program with both feet and in 7 days I got so much education about addiction its not even funny.mind you that the program I left was theraputic program and did not help me with my addiction problem so I sought other options on my own will the judge take that into consideration and I have aletter stating from the new program that I'm in full participation and abide by all the rules does that help at all?Basically I pom did not return any of my phone calls even in the last to days and they also took my soboxten away from me cam they do that it was prescribed from a doctor please help me with some answeres.im very worried because I just recently got married and I'm clean and happy.thank you for any feed back

To boil this down - you were Court-ordered to attend a rehab program of some type and you did not. Is that the basic question?

If you left your court ordered program to "wing" it at a different facility of your choosing, the Judge will not be very happy with you at your VOP hearing. He may re-order you back to the original facility and have you finish out your court ordered program there. It's all up to the Judge.
