    Ceiling fan remote not working
    My remote to my ceiling fan isn't working. I first replaced the battery but
    That didn't work. The fan currently is on high speed and want to turn it
    Off. Please help!

    Brand and model would help. Does the hand held transmitter have small dip switches inside?

    There is an extra white wire on the box for the remote control to be connected to the fan. What should that white wire be hooked up to. Some remotes call it a common wire.

    Does the LED still light on the remote? Does the fan have pullchains?

    Check the dip switches, but PROBABLY the receiver.
