    Ceiling fan remote control
    When trying to hook the connection box to the ceiling fan for the remote control there is an extra white wire and there is no explanation to what that wire should be connected to. Some remote controls have this wire on the connector box and call it a common wire but does not explain what it should be hooked up to. It is a hampton bay remote control for the ceiling fan.

    Are you saying there is an extra white coming out of the ceiling or what?
