Replacing the Spout in my tub?
I'm trying to replace the spout in my tub, where water comes out when the shower is not in use. It is a screw on type of model. I started to loosen from the which seemed easy enough, but now all is does is spin. It will spin in both directions freely now. What do I need to do to get it off so that I can replace it?

Are you positive it's a theaded spout? Have you turned the water on since it started to spin? Does water leak anywhere now(espectially in the wall). Let us know. If you could post a pic of your spout from all directions, we may be able to help you out.

Try pulling on the spout forecefully while turning counterclockwise. If this doesn't work, see if you can get it to thread back in. let us know.

Have tried both options already. Unable to genrate enough force to pull the spout off and runsure how to get it to thread back in because it spins in both directions know.
