    Rental Issues
I recently moved into an apartment. I have a verbal, month to month rental agreement. When I moved in my dryer hookup worked. Now it doesn't. The landlord claims she told me that there was no dryer hookup and that she isn't fixing the electrical outlet. She told me on more the one occasion that there was no dryer vent. I told her I have an indoor vent. Since the electrical outlet worked when I moved in can I legally make her fix it?

No, if you were informed from the beginning there was no dryer, then she has no obligation to fix it.

She didn't say there wasn't a dryer hookup. Her exact words were "There is no dryer vent." We told her we have an indoor vent and she said OK. Does that make any difference?

I think what she is trying to say is that she won't support a dryer in the apartment. You might be able to force her to supply the hookup if you take her to court, but its not going to be comfortable to live there afterwards.
