    Ground rod buringing distance
    When I connect the ground wire to my pump for my above ground pool how far way from the pool or the motor should the rod be buried.. pump is about 4 feet from the pool

    You do NOT need a ground rod for a pool pump. A ground rod has nothing to do with bonding a pool.

    Go figure, you save them $10 for the rod and an hour of labor pounding the rod, plus prevent a improper grounding installation, and no response.
