    Window unit not cold
Hello; I have a admiral 10000 BTU window unit. The fan runs and no cold air. The manual said to run just fan for 10 min. and then push button to cool. When I do I hear a slight slow down on the fan for 5 seconds then back to normal. Still not cold. Its about 3 years old. Thank You

Sounds like Freon may have leaked out. Either that or the compressor is not running, but the "slow down" sounds like it's trying to kick in. If it's not kicking in, you may need a new starting capacitor.
