    Window ac unit
    I have a whirlpool window unit the temp control buttons will not go down, is there any way to repair that ? The compressor will not kick on because the temp is set to high.

    The only thing you could do is try and lubricate the control or replace it. Many times push button controls can have a shot of wd-40 sprayed on the button shaft and worked back and forth to try to help loosen it. Turn power off first.

We have a Friedrich window unit. It has a 3 prong plug and we have it in a 20 amp socket. The breaker is a 60 amp and the wiring is 220 12/3. We aren't getting power to the unit. What are we doing wrong here?? :eek:
