93 Honda Accord SE random stalling
I have a 1993 Honda Accord SE, 4 cylinder, automatic trans. That in the last couple days has been randomly stalling on me in the middle of driving it after 15 or 20 minutes of driving. The past 2 days I stopped after work to maybe 2-3 places in a span of an hour and on my way home the car stalled on me. Waited a couple minutes restarted it and made it a few more blocks, stalled again, waited a couple minutes and then restarted and made it home.

That evening we attempted (at the suggestion of a friend of ours) to take a spray bottle and spray the engine and everything under the hood while running... we noticed it was arcing at the distributor cap. Removed cap and inspected, everything seems fine other than cap may have been loose. Tightened and cannot get it to arc anymore. Note that every day that it has stalled it has either rained and/or been humid. Not sure if moisture might be part of the cause? Could it still potentially be distributor? Other listings that have been read say it could be ICM or main relay... but neither define exactly what each symptoms are.

Car is well maintained. Timing belt changed 3,000 miles ago. When car does run, it seems to run fine.

It shouldn't be too difficult to solve the problem. This link should help, if wet or humid weather is the culprit:

If the problem persists, after replacing the distributor cap (including O-ring) and new spark plug wires, replace the ICM and coil:

Due to the age of the vehicle, I would replace all of the items mentioned above if they have not been replaced yet. I recommend replacing the ICM and coil every 120,000 miles or 10 years, whichever comes first. These are two of the most troublesome components on Hondas of this generation.

If it's been arcing for a while like that... :\... that's not good for ignition electronics... tear apart distributor... dry parts... or replace everything with new stuff... then make sure no more moisture can get in...
