Charlie Daniels Band Memorabilia - worth and for sell!
I don't know if there are any on this forum or not, but I have Charlie Daniels Band memorabilia that I had appraised that includes three items. I was wondering what people on this forum thought about its worth.
I have tried to sell it on auction sites several times at different prices lowering it three times, but still was unable to sell so either there is a lack of fans or money or interest, ha.
Anyway the items are listed below, as a package they were appraised from $350-$650.
1. Black Mint Condition 1983 Guest Tour Jacket "The Charlie Daniels
Band" Guest patch on front with 'Decade of Hits Tour and back with
Large color print mural of 'The Charlie Daniels Band and Skoal'
2. 1984 Mint Condition quarter length black sleeved Large tee w/
'Volunteer Jamx Nashville -February 4, 1984" mural on front and quoted
"Isn't it good to be alive and to be in Tennessee" printed on back
3.1985 signed by Charlie Daniels first edition 'The Devil Went Down to
Georgia' in hardback
Let me know if any interests or thoughts on the items!
Thanks!
SG in Orlando! :)

Hello p:
You left off the one thing on your list that I think it is... That would be your ability to market and/or sell the stuff.
I once had a membership to Bally's that WAS different than all those others. I mean it was REALLY different, and a really good deal... But, I had a hard time distinguishing my membership from all the rest... It took a really GOOD marketing campaign, and I actually had to SPEAK with some of the bidders... But, it sold.
I don't know anything about the stuff you're trying to sell, but I doubt the reasons they aren't selling are including in your list.

Well considering I sell all the time different memorabilia on auction sites I would say that what I posted above wasn't simply my 'marketing' campaign.. it was a list of what I had... but thanks for the input?
Elaborate more if you like... who knows maybe I could use the pointers other than a gym membership analogy...

Hello again, p:
I didn't mean to imply that your post WAS the same as what you put on your eBay page. I'm just suggesting that since it DIDN'T get the response you sought, and the stuff you're selling IS worth it, and it's GOOD stuff, then that's the only conclusion I could come up with.
Look. I haven't seen your page. All I know, is YOUR page, and what you say (how your market) your stuff, has to be DIFFERENT than all the others.
I'm also not an expert at online auctions. When I speak of your page, I'm just remembering the little space I had on eBay to talk about my membership BEING different.
What I actually did, after my auction didn't produce results either, was aggressively went after the people who didn't bid enough. I assumed they didn't bid enough because they didn't really understand what I was selling...
I don't know, Dude. I'm just saying.

Thank you!! I appreciate your reply and what you had to say! I haven't had these items listed in almost a year so I don't necessarily have a 'page' anymore... I just have a ton of memorabilia stored away because I never knew if it was worth anything so its been sitting in boxes..
Until one day I decided to have the CDB items appraised then tried that and it failed... so I gave up on online auctions for awhile and guess where all the stuff is? Still sitting in boxes...
Until I found this page today... I like getting input whether positive or negative...
So thanks man I appreciate your reply!

Hello again, p:
My pleasure. I LOVE Charlie Daniels.
Is there a Charlie Daniels fan club? Do they meet - have a convention? Go there. Rent a booth, or sell the stuff on the street. Those people got to be NUTS for this stuff. He still does concerts, doesn't he? Go to a concert and set up in front. That way you get to market DIRECTLY to your customers. Or go to ANY country concert. I don't know how much stuff you've got and/or whether it'll be worth traveling... But, it would be fun, and you can see the concert too. You got to be a fan.
Go buy a book called Gorilla Marketing. It's BETTER than me.
