    Fee for shoplifting
One of my friend stole $50 pants on a mall in Canada. The mall's security told him he will receive a bill. He will go back his country, before he leaves, if he doesn't receive the bill
From the mall, is it OK?
How much it will be for the bill?
    Thanks!

If he doesn't pay the bill because he doesn't receive the bill. What will it happen?
The mall told him the bill would be sent by another copany(ACLAIM).
    Thanks!

By the way, during the couse the police came to the mall, he asked my friend his basic information, and at that time the police didn't give him any ticket and didn't ask him sign . So it means the police will not sent him any ticket again and will not call him to printfinger?

And if he goes back his country before the bill comes, the mall will not do anything? Because the mall usually don't spend more than several hundred dollars pursing several hundred dollars?
    Thanks again!

When is he leaving? Where is he going?

He has to pay restitution, he did the crime, he has to pay the price.

He should contact the store and tell them that he will be leaving Canada soon and would like to clear this up before he goes, just in case he decides to return in the future.

Yes, he said he would conect the mall. Hope the mall send email to tell
Him where to send the money by cheque.
By the way on the spot he asked the mall he wanted to pay at that time , but they didn't agree.
