    Foundation cracks
I have small foundation hairline cracks. I had been using hydraulic cement
It worked okay. But after awhile it breaks up. Is there anything better

Hi Oneill474, love answering your questions when I can. Anyway, yes, I had that too and had to dig up a portion of my foundation and coat with tar based paint. My house was built in the 40s in southeast Ontario and our property is below the water line.about l km from Lake Ontario. Before I painted used hydraulic cement were I saw a hairline crack. Low and Behold (anticipating other answers from Bellanger et al), it worked!

Now my leaks are coming from othe areas but have to put up with most of it and just catching up on all of it is a pain, plus renovating the top portion of this lovely little ll00 square foot house with a fantastic garden.

Please excuse typos, just put in 55 hours of work ending Sunday and driving to Toronto and back to get my son to his car, it took two hours.

    Kindest regards

How big are the cracks? Use paintable caulk. It will expand and alow for some give and not bust back out.
