Extending condesing lines to an air conditioner
I fear that my newly installed lines (not hooked up) Might be a couple of feet short, (35' run). Are there fitting to extend these lines and is this OK?

What are you afraid of? Is there a professional doing the job? You can extend lines BUT you will have to calculate the additional amount of refrigerant needed as per the manufactures instructions or the superheat or subcooling of the system.

I'm referring to the large an small line the runs from the A coil to the outside compressor. [I]'m running the lines and a professional will add to , if necessary, and make all connections./I]

You can extend those lines and you are smart enough to have a professional tie them in and professionally charge your system.

Yes there are fittings for these lines but in many cases a professional will swage the copper so not additional coupling will be necessary. They work well on roll soft copper and sizes are available for the most common sizes.
