    Gas dryer shorted out
While changing the door light bulb, the hot wire shorted out and blue out the circuik. When I reset the breaker the dryer will not start. The manual said that the Thermal Limiter may have tripped and needs to be replased. Does this sound right and where do I find this part on the dryer.

No. I would say that a Thermal Limiter would be a sensor to shut the dryer down if the heat got to hot. That conclusion only comes from the name.
I would also expect that there is a fuse in the dryer that could have blown when the short occurred. To find the fuse (or the thermal limiter) you will need a wiring diagram or know what to look for. Fuse should be easy to recognize.
