    Shorted Wires
    Hi,

I accidentally contacted the red and green wires on a 4 pronged dryer hookup. There was a poof and now the dryer doesn't come on. My question is; is the only damage to the 4 pronged cord wiring itself or is there more damage? Can I just buy a new cord and hook it up? Thanks

Did you check the breaker first. Move it fully off and then on again.

Thanks, duh, I should have realized it would just be the breaker. Everythings hooked back up and working. Thanks again.
