Wireing a celing fan with a light
I took down my celing fan with a light. I attempted to put it back up. I connected the black wires to the black. The 2 green to the ground. The white to the white. But I have a red and blue one left. Now it works from the wall switch. My fan works. But my light doesn't so I know I wired it wrong. Can someone tell me why the light is not workingm and what do I do with the red and blue wire

Do you have a separate switch on the wall to turn on the light?I'm thinking that your red wire you mentioned is in your ceiling box and the blue wire is from the fan. If you have the separate switch and both wires are how I described then just connect these two wires together to power the light.

I onlly have one switch . It turns on the fan and light and you have to turn the light on by hand. Or shut it off by hand. When I put the red and blue together it did not work

Was the red wire connected to the fan before you took it down? If not then connect the blue wire with the black wires you connected to get power to the light.

How was it controlled before you took it down? You can try connecting the blue to the black with the fan black.
