Last April My boyfriend got arrested for schedule VI with the intent to resale.
They put him on a years probation and just 3 weeks ago he violated. They violated him twice , once for another simple possession and once for failing a drug test. He's been in jail 5 days today and goes to court next Wednesday. By then he'll have served 7 days in jail , can anyone tell me how long you have to serve? We've heard just 7 days for your first violation, but we've also heard 30-45 days.
If anyonce can help I'd appreciate it.

Well
I have a brother that is addicted to drugs
And he was on probation
He got caught with possession and resisting back in January
And he's been in jail since...
For his probation violation...

What I must say is that it is different in every state...
It also depends on your boyfriends past convictions and criminal record and the judge...

Tell him to lay off the dope and all his problems will go away...

Yeah he's never been in trouble before and this is his first violation.
So maybe they'll take it easy on him, because we havea kid together.

The problem here is there is no
Number of days for a violation, he can be sent to prison for the entire year that he was to be on probation. Esp with this being a prior drug, at least in this area he would do a min of 30 days normally more.

They court system doesn't care that he has a kid...
What is a drug addict going to do for his kid? Besides steal and do drugs.. no offense...
By the way
It's a good chance he might get house arrest which is a pain in the... for you and him

Cross your fingers and hope he gets a good judge...
