AC Compressor will not come on
My AC compressor will not come on. Blower works but not compressor. Breaker is good. How do I check to see if it is getting power? And more importantly, is this something w/o an electrical or HVAC background should attempt?

If Compressor Fan is working, then the control wires and contactor is working. May be the Motor.
If Compressor and compressor Fan don't work, then it could be a contactor problem.
Thermostat sends 24 volts to Contactor coil, completeing power from panel to both.

The outdoor disconnect may contain fuses. Have you checked?
