Hampton Bay touch light works by itself sometimes
I just installed a wall mounted "swing arm" Hampton Bay 3-way tough light. It works fine when I touch it to cycle through the 3 brightness levels and to off.

The problem is that it will every so often cycle through all positions or cycle to one of the "on" positions, without being touched. I tried two different outlets in the room, but same random problem. It might only happen once or twice per night. The wire is inside the factory brass tube that runs down the wall from the wall mounted factory junction box and then can be plugged directly into a wall outlet.

    :(

Does your receiver and transmitter have small "dip switches" if soi move all the switches to off on both units

There is no remote unit. It is a wall mount lamp only. It has a circuit board in the factory junction box which is part of the lamp wall mounting cover. The lamp is all brass, so when you touch the lamp it advances the lamp to the next brightness level or at the end of the cycle to off.. The problem is that it randomly cycles without touching it. SO, could it be my house electrical circuit fluctuating??

Yes, touch switches are prone to false starts on their own when power flunctuates, some remotes too.
