Hampton Bay light works, fan don't
Have a Hampton Bay 3 speed Carousel II (childs fan). Not on a remote. Lights work fine.

Fan quit working recently. When turned on (pull chain) you can feel/hear slight hum but the blades just don't want to run and it seems hot to the touch. It turns freely by hand.

Anyone have any ideas? All help is appreciated.

I would guess capacitor or speed switch. Try the Sticky under Electrical and lighting. Then check Ceiling Fan info.
