    -Start a book club
-Volunteer for a local hospital, soup kitchen or charity
-Start a collection - stamps or coins or baseball cards
    -Join the Drama Club
    -Take music lessons
    -Learn to Bowl
    -Make Jewelry

Oaky... this is coming from a thirteen year old herself..,. only one year ahead... I was a twelve year old just last year.

If you are a girl- then you could do what I always did and still do... I...
-color and draw pictures; working on my artistic skills, and I used to love drawing what I was feeling like for instance when I was depressed I would draw pictures expressing that... and
-dance; I STILL DANCE I LOVE IT TO DEATH IT KEEPS YOU IN DHAPE AND ITS SO FUN... in my own opinion... just try it... and
-singing; wven if you dion't have the voice... its still fun to try right?
Lastly, start your own collection; I mean I did and it is of lots of eharts and peace and bunch of Snoopy Dog... :)

    OKAY... NOW FOR A GUY,.

The main thing I would suggest is sports... like football, basketball, baseball, swimming, hockey, even something like chess or maybe rugby or something a normal jock wouldn't even think of. It doenst matter if your not the sporty type and your not the best... 1. its always good to at least try and do the best you can and 2. it is still fun if you work at it... even if you aren't the best at it. Just work at it and you'll get somewhere.
Lastly... just join a club... You'll fit in somewhere... I promise... :P

    GOOD LUCK!! :D

There are so many hobbies out there it really depends on what you like doing..

What are some things you enjoy?

Almost anything can be turned into a hobby.

For example if you like say... Birds...
Start birdwatching, take some pictures then draw them

Or if you have a heap of old rags and buttons etc. do some collages and make pictures out of them.

Just putting it out there, I am a female.

    All right, here's the thing...
I am currently dancing at a local studio, but that only consumes so muh of my time.

I am alergic to ALL animal fur, and HATE reading and writing, with passion.
Any other ideas that don't have to do with animals, books, or dance.
Those aren't really considered options to me anymore...

Good idea HrvSavag3r - Great way to make money!
There are tons of books around that give you all the workings of engines and how to fix things.

Probably best to start with a very basic engine like a lawnmower or something and move up from there!

You never know, you could end up being a mechanic and school will be a breeze :)

Another way to entertain yourself is online games that you don't have to pay for. When I was 12 I played a game called maple story its not bad and I still get on sometimes and it occypies your time.
Or like I said motors fix them up and sell them, or another thing you could do is join the local scout group or you could even get into bmxing/skating that's always fun

If you like to dance but it doesn't consume enough of your time, you might also enjoy community theatre - a lot of towns have summer shows and it's a lot of fun doing rehearsals and hanging out with everyone, making new friends, and ending the summer with a great show that you're part of. Being on stage crew is really fun, too. You could also look into a sport like gymnastics, softball, LaCrosse or whatever you like. Bowling is fun, too, and most places have a bowling alley with summer leagues for kids at different ages where you aren't expected to be good, you just learn as you go along. It's something you can do for the rest of your life.

When I was your age I was also on swim team and I took tennis lessons. I also played the flute, which was fun because then I was in bands all through high school and met a lot of cool people and got to go on band trips and things like that.

If you belong to a church, they probably have youth groups you can join. My church, when I was your age, had weekend retreats, teen camping trips and even service trips where we'd go places like appalacia for a week and be of service to people in need by painting their house or something, and we also had a lot of time to explore and hang out with each other, and do fellowship and faith-related activities to get to know each other better.

You could pick up another form of dance - if you do ballet, try modern or something. Or ballroom. Or cooking and baking can be fun hobbies that you can use all your life.

I'd say don't worry at your age about finding what you're passionate about, just see what's available that your parents can afford and can get you to, and try different things. Some you won't want to do again, others you will love and will want to continue.

Hobbie with my son [ 5 Answers ]

My son is 14 years old and usually comes to stay with me on the weekends. He is consumed with XBOX Live. If it was up to him, he'd be in his room the entire day. It's winter now and so offering to play catch is not something he'd respond to . What sort of hobbie can I do with him?
