94 Honda Accord EX won't start when it's hot
My 94 Honda Accord EX starts fine when it's cold to moderate temperature out. But when it's hot outside it will not start. Also; when I turn the car off for only a few moments and try to start it again it won't start. I have to wait 5 to 10 minutes, and then it starts right up. Following other advice I actually changed my starter yesterday. So at least I don't have to worry about that for some time, but today; it's hot out and it won't start. Help me please.

Classic symptoms of a bad main relay. Either replace (preferable) or try resoldering the printed circuit board. It's located just to the right of the steering column. Turning the ignition switch On and Off should help you locate it by hearing/feeling it click.

To reduce heat generated by the PGM-FI Main Relay, drill numerous small ventilation holes in the cover. This may help extend the relay's life.

Occasionally my 1999 Honda Accord V6 won't start. The starter cranks the engine, but the engine fails to start. A timing light indicates that the ignition system is operating, so I assume it's a fuel issue. If left alone for a time, the car will start normally. Once running, there is never any...

98 honda accord won't start [ 2 Answers ]

I had a spare key made for my 98 honda accord at ace hardware and it was made wrong, getting stuck in my ignition. After finally removing it, I then put my original key in the ignition and it still wouldn't star, I think because of security issues. Is there anything I can do??
