    The dads rights!
I split up with my baby's dad when I was 4 month pregnant, due to him getting it in his head he's not the dad. ( this is impossible ) and I'm 6 and a half month pregnant now.
He doesn't want anything to do with the whole pregnancy, and said don't contact him till ITS born and we'll get IT DNA tested.
I'm torn between wanting what's best for our son, but also a loathing of his dad.
I don't want him to be in our lives, as I don't think its fair that I've been left to the pregnancy alone, as he knows I don't speak to my parents, just for him then to come swaning back when our sons born.
What rights does he have? Can he force a DNA test? Without a DNA test does he have any rights at all?

There is no such thing as a fling, unfortunately you're out of luck. Never sleep with someone you can't stand to be around for the next 30 years because a child changes everything.

Yes he can order the DNA test and if it is proven to be his, yes he has the right to be a part of the child's life. It takes two, its half your fault you're pregnant too. So I understand that it is difficult to go through a pregnancy alone, that is a really good reason to refrain from sex, or at least double up on birth control.

You cannot stop him from filing for DNA testing. If you do, you can be held legally accountable. He has just as much right to the baby as you.
