    Rare 80's cartoon movie title?
    If someone can help by letting me know the title of a late 80's to early 90's cartoon movie,about an ( I believe) purple alien with a longer neck, needs help on his home planet from a kid or couple kids, against a bad alien, which possibly is the aliens dad or uncle some kind of relation, which the bad one ware's a pirate or napolien hat. But in the begging the good one picks up the kid(s) in their backyard, which the kids are camping out in, or a tree house at night, and the house has woods on the backside of it. Also during the end credits, a ballad song is played with a woman singing and they show bits of the moive thank you so much if you can solve or help me twards this movie.

    Well thanks to those who have tried to help, but I found the answer myself; I was I little off but it was: the racoons and the lost star, 1983. I found it via retrojunk.com .
