    Do I need to pay tax for H1B Visa Status, during my papers are sent for filling it.
    Hi,

    I am Dhvanit Dalal and I want to ask a question related to H1B Visa Taxes for 2009. My employer is going to file for my Part time H1B Visa this year, So do I need to Pay Taxes imposed for H1B employees, while my papers are just in the process for H1B Visa or It will be charged when I will get H1B Visa?

    I assume you speak of FICA (Social Security and Medicare) taxes.

    You become for these taxes the day your H-1B visa becomes effective, and no sooner.
