    Planning on transferring
    Hi,

I'm currently on Probation in the state of Florida till April 2010. I'm a full time student and I've completed every requierment my probation as put forth(community hrs, classes) I've been paying my fee's monthly. The situation at my house has gotten a lot more difficult and I'm thinking about transferring to NYC I grew up in NYC my whole life. But never got into trouble. How would it go about the process? I have not been able to find a job since my arrest in Florida. How will it be for me in NY. I'm a single mother. Any advice I'll greatly appreciate. My current charge is Criminal Mischief w/ properto damage of ove $1000.
I know it sounds serious but its not how it sounds. What jobs are willing to overlook that?

Thanks excon. I'll be going to see my PO this Monday. Since day one she's been very nice to me and I've never had a problem with her. Hopefully that won't change. Now my other question is this. I heard that when you transfer it depends on the state and IF they approve the transfer it's a go. Is that true?

    Hello again, c:

It's true... But, if you meet the criteria of the receiving state, the same way your PO will have a hard time not approving you, the receiving state will have a hard time rejecting you.

The criteria, however, most likely would require that you be enrolled in school and/or have a full time job, AND have a verifiable address, BEFORE they approve you.

They're not going to let you go to a city where you have no connections and little hope for survival.
