    Transferring Probation
We have requested that my husbands probation be transferred From N.Y to SC. He will be transferring his job in September . We applied with the probation department early because they told us that it could take months for it to go through. The problem is that we were told thet he has to have a permanent residence before they can even start the transfer . We can't secure an apartment until at the earliest August .If he is to start his job in September and the probation department doesn't start his transfer until August that could mean he won't be able to start his job on time . Could someone let me know if its possible for the probation department to maybe start the transfer with the contingency that we have a place of residents by August ? Is this possible ?

Not really, your husband needs to talk to his PO, perhaps hiring an attorney to help in the process. But basically they have their rules, and if the "i" is not dotted and the "t" not crossed they just reject the paper work. If you don't get a residence till Aug his probation transfer will never be appproved in time, If it does not start processing by June, it most likely will not be ready.
