I just got a brand new condo by the train station, is this a positive thing when it comes to re sell or a negative thing because its too lound??

Yes!

It will depend on the buyers. If its someone who will be commuting using that rail line, they may be attracted by the convenience. Someone else, who wants quiet won't even look.

If someone wants to be close to the train station, then it is a positive. If someone owns a car and never takes the train, then it would be a negative. We know nothing about the community you live in, so it would be impossible to tell you if more people will view it as a positive or a negative.

As jj said, there is no way for us to know, especially not without researching the community demographics.

As to changing your user name, we don't do that. If you want to start a new account and stop using this one, you can do that.

The text book answer is your property suffers from incurable external obsolescence. Now, Scott and JJ are correct, there is not enough information to know if the positives (being close to the train) outweigh the negative (the noise from the train). But regardless, external obsolescence is ALWAYS a negative thing, you just hope the positive makes up for it.

Think of yourself as a buyer (heck, you bought your condo once), did it make a difference to you?! You need to find a buyer who is willing to live with the noise for the fact they are that close to the train. That might be one buyer in a hundred or one in a thousand. You can bet your bottom dollar though, it is a negative feature and someone will give you less money for your property then one that is also close to the train but does not have the noise.
