I isued a check on a dispute and request my bank to stop payment on the check which bears error on my signature, the bank charged me a fee for stopping the payment and when the check came in they still cashed it

Read the small print on the forms you sign about stopping payment.

!st if you have the check number, the amount and the name of who it is to correct seldom do they miss and pay. And if they do, they normally stop it when told.

But you can require them to pay you back the stop payment fee.

If you disputed a payment you should not have paid it, and then thought you would solve it by stopping payment
