    No power to ceiling fan
    Hello,
We just replaced a ceiling fan on our covered patio and now we are getting no power to it. We checked the breakers and gfi outlets and everything is fine. All connections have been doubled checked but still no power to fan. What else can we do?

You're sure that you're not getting power to the fan? Or is the fan just not working?

Please let us know exactly how the wiring is currently connected.

Where is the source of the power? Are you using wall switches to control the fan? Does the fan have a light pack?

Do you have a multi meter to get some basic voltage tests for us? Have you checked the breaker for this circuit to make sure that the breaker has not tripped?

I agree, we could use some more details. Who knows, maybe there was no power before and that's what made you think the old fan was broken. Where did you test for power and what color wires were you parring?

What type of fan is the new fan? The only fan? Did they have the same wires? How are/were they controlled? Etc.
